Intermountain Ornamental

After looking at a couple local businesses for hand-railing replacement, I decided on Intermountain Ornamental because they checked off all the boxes while emphasizing "no job too small" and I considered ours a small job. After contacting them for a quote, a friendly employee came out, took measurements, and we discussed replacement options. The next day I had a quote in my inbox. I also received a call from them letting me know to reach out if I had any questions. My first reaction to the quote was that it seemed too low cost for the overall project. Maybe installation wasn't included? When I called to pay half and get things started, I was reassured that the quote was the total cost indeed. Also, I was told 3-4 weeks for the railing to be made. Honestly, it was at the back of my mind until one day I came home and it was done. I had been at work and hadn't seen the voicemail which indicated they would be by that day to install the new railing. Normally I'd prefer to be around for something like this, but seeing how seamless the new railing was installed made me happy. It looked great, including the sheen of the black powder coat and overall simple style. Other than the railing being replaced, I would have never known anyone was there, and I appreciate that level of respect to the surroundings. Overall my experience with IO is that my expectations were met and exceeded.

All I can say is - If it wasn’t for the installer’s they would have gotten a one star review from me. Thankfully the installers made it better so I gave them a 3 star. Long story short after a long 8 week wait due to Covid- (understandAble) We were supposed to get our railings installed on the 15th. ‘MID JULY so they said. When I called a couple days prior to see if we were even on the schedule for installation one of the ladies that work the front office- The same lady that took my money and gave me a receipt had NO idea where my railing order even was because the guy that did our estimate retired. After 6 phone calls and a couple emails later, They promised to do an express shipping and have them installed a week later on the 21st. Which was Much appreciated- Unfortunately the communication from consumer to customer sucked, The associate we worked with used the terms I don’t know a lot & Not to mention had no idea what was even happening in that office. Seriously disappointing. So be for warned. This is where they are getting a better review from me. The installers were Fantastic! They arrived on the 20th which was one day sooner then promised. They were quick, Friendly and very professional: Unfortunately one of our railings were way too long -which just added fuel to the fire, but they made sure to let us know that they would have it installed by the next day. Which is fine. Great Thanks- However! They went way beyond there job title and they actually had them installed a couple hours later that night. So They were AMAZING and I’m very thankful. I’m not sure I’d recommend this place to anybody, but in the END I am satisfied with my product because it really is Beautiful.

I had a very pleasant experience with this company. The sales man showed up on time and was very friendly, even helped me decide what would go best with my exterior. Once I paid my deposit I was given a timeline for my railing, and they delivered a few days early. it is stunning on my deck. I love it. I will for sure use this company on my upcoming spiral stairway and fence project! They do great work, and have great customer service!

At first we were excited to work with this company. However they ended up taking months, as in 5 months, to install our project. Then when they did it was partly wrong, as in not what we asked for. I called many times and asked for updates and often they didn’t get back to me. We were nice and respectful through all of this. Then when payment was due they were very demanding and rude. How ironic! I would never recommend.

In 2018 we had a new back porch put on with new hand rails and they came out and gave us a quote. They installed a beautiful hand rail matching it with the rail we had in the front which was installed by a competitor. The rail in the front was already showing signs of corrosion so I asked them to re-powder coat our rail around our front porch. They did a great job.
